On the way to the "Promised Land"?

Wk 36 Day 2

Numbers 14:23, 30
...not one of them will ever see the land I promised on oath to their forefathers. No one who has treated me with contempt will ever see it. 30 Not one of you will enter the land I swore with uplifted hand to make your home, except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.

Obedience was key to entering the Promised Land flowing with milk and honey. This was the time when the Israelites were grumbling against Moses and Aaron.

CONTEMPT: contempt, disdain, scorn imply strong feelings of disapproval and aversion toward what seems base, mean, or worthless. contempt is disapproval tinged with disgust.

APPS:
The idea here is very simple -- obey God, don't complain or grumble, don't treat Him with contempt and He will direct you straight to your "Promised Land" of which He has already prepared.

.. It took the Israelites a while to get there because they were grumbling and kept complaining.
.. Getting to the Promised Land wasn't easy - part of it was they were disobedient - Moses had some leaders scout the place [Canaan] (Numbers 13:1-25) and saw that "it does flow with milk and honey!" (13:27)
.. The Israelites have treated God with contempt - pretty much doubted His promises - the promise the He would bring them to the Promised Land.

BELLE:
God has something prepared for me - a "land" flowing with milk and honey. Where? I do not know as of the moment. However, I have had moments with God when I know for sure that He is taking me there because that is what pleases Him - for His child to be fruitful, productive, enjoying life, and continuosly serving Him.

I am on my way.. thus, I must stay away from grumbling and doubting what God has said He would do. NO DOUBTING, NO COMPLAINING just STAY FAITHFUL.

LORD, thank You for reminding me again about these words. Forgive me for the times when I doubted what's coming ahead, complained about my situations, and being angry about times when I could've been okay before. You have something great coming and I pray that I will please you always by being faithful and obedient to you. Take my heart and hold it that I may never get into that again. I pray this by the power of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus' name, amen.
