Let my words be few

Wk 47 Day 5

Ecclesiastes 10:4
If a ruler's anger rises against you, do not leave your post; calmness can lay great errors to rest.

.. There is a reward to those who are calm or those who remain in their composure whenever a ruler (or someone in authority) rises their anger against us.
.. In this context, it seems that the ruler rose his anger out of bias [not implied; I am not sure, just an observation]. However, whether or not it is out of bias, this verse is addressed to the servant - the one lower in position. It gives a minimal view on the side of the ruler but probably so because this addresses the servant more directly. ["do not leave your post..."]
.. It can also be on the servant's side, that he made an offense hence arising the ruler's anger. Calmness will soothe anger. ["for yielding pacifieth great offences." in KJV"]

// ENCOURAGEMENT:

.. "Calmness can lay great errors to rest" - therefore, it is better to retain composure for it can bring healing or cure to an anger; soothes quick-temperaments
.. In any given circumstance [mostly unfavorable ones as that of disagreements], we must keep a good composure to lay things down to rest

// BELLE:

.. I gotta work on letting my words few - to not speak so much esp when unfavorable circumstances as described above arises.
.. As a follower of Christ, I must remain in my position tho these unfavorable circumstances may occur at certain points in life.
.. God will honor a peaceful spirit; not quick to fight back [or at all]
.. Whether I am at fault or not, it is best to remain calm and peaceful at heart to ease anger.

// Lord, you can help me remain calm. I pray that you let my words be few at all times. To always think about the greatness of your power. I pray that you will guide me through my days that all the will come out of my being is an encouragement to everyone around me. Forgive me for the times that I blurted out too much words that may have brought someone down. I pray that You will change me.

13 Keep your servant also from willful sins;
may they not rule over me.
Then will I be blameless,
innocent of great transgression.

14 May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be pleasing in your sight,
O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.

I lift up everything to you, in Jesus' name, amen.
