Genesis 20-22; Luke 8
Genesis 22:14
So Abraham called that place The
// THOUGHTS:
Interesting thoughts about this passage:
.. The Lord asked Abraham to sacrifice Isaac
.. The Lord stopped Abraham from slaying his son - knowing that he didn't withhold anything from the Lord but gave it ALL (his son, his best, his most beloved son!)
.. When Abraham gave it ALL, the Lord provided
.. The Lord provided another sacrifice for Abraham to slay because of his obedience to the Lord
// BELLE:
When Abraham gave it ALL, the Lord provided. What has the Lord tested me on and I've given it all? It is possible that the Lord hasn't provided because I haven't given it ALL yet - He's always asked to turn over ALL of my burdens to Him; to sacrifice things to Him so He may be glorified, He may provide (do His job) - but perhaps, there are still some small things that I may not have given ALL yet.
It's true - there are still worries, hang ups and inclinations to hold on to the past which may be the reason why God hasn't manifested His provision to me yet on certain things. I cannot judge this on my own either, but based on this passage, the principle that God shows "when we give it ALL to Him, He will provide" is true in all aspects. God wants my all and I must give it all to Him that He may be able to do His job in my life. I may be the reason why He hasn't manifested His provision in certain areas of my life. I must learn to let go and truly let God in all aspects of my life.
// Lord, I'd love to receive Your provision! I know it's the best sacrifice I can give to You is to offer what You have provided for me. I pray that You will give me the willingness to give all of what I am still hangin' on to; perhaps things that I am still clinging on to - having a hard time giving up whether big or small. I pray that You empower me to let go of EVERYTHING. I submit to You and I am willing to do it by the power of Your Holy Spirit that is in me. I pray that You guide me Lord and please please help me because I am willing to do it - give me strength and go on and to look forward to what's ahead. Just as You have reminded me yesterday to move on, help me to give all that You may manifest Your divine provision. Thank You, in Jesus' name, amen! :)
