Fuel For Courage

Week 14 Days 4-5 (cont)


2 Corinthians 5:15
And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. 

Plain and simple.  This life is ALL about the One who died for me.  Whatever it is that I do that is just for my self's glory, I must rid of it.  Anything I can do FOR HIM, I must acquire and do so.  In everything that I do, it must be because of Christ.

This is what it means to have Christ as Lord - living no longer for myself but for Him!  Whatever desires I have that may be selfish and unChrist-like, I do not need to cater to those; in fact, I must not entertain it.  I must always assess my motives and my heart to make sure that what I say and do are not springing from my own selfishness.  

I NO LONGER LIVE FOR MYSELF.  Everything is All for Jesus!  This is what real life is all about.

Lord, this is plain and simple.  I've heard this so many times.  Yet, I know You want to remind me because this is what gives me courage to do things that are totally out of my comfort zone.  I pray that You will just help me embrace this mind-blowing courage by thinking that all that I do is not for me, but for Your glory!  Guide me in every step I take; every step or leap of faith I do -- things that Paul says "out of our mind" for your sake!  Thank You for what such a wonderful reminder!  I offer to You my life.  I don't live for myself but for YOU!  In Jesus' name, amen.
