It's Good in His Eyes!

Week 14 Day 7

1 Samuel 3:18
So Samuel told him everything, hiding nothing from him. Then Eli said, “He is the LORD; let him do what is good in his eyes.”

Eli knew that God knows all things; that even though his sons would bring about some "tingling" to the people of Israel for what they did, he knew that God knows what's good!  Eli traditionally judged Israel for 40 years..

Samuel just obeyed what Eli said.

I have to let God "do what is good in his eyes" at all times.  I must be willing to be led by God in every direction He wants me to go.  If God calls me to do something, that means He wants to use me to make His will known.  The question is, am I willing? Will I do it without reservation?


I will do it whatever the cost is.  I need to swallow my pride on certain things that I know I may have a hard time obeying Him with - most of them are just small things and steps I have to do.  I know the Lord will empower me.

Lord, I know You know all things!  Help me to just obey and not give so many excuses.  I pray that You will help me to be obedient to these things that You have called me to do.  The small and the big, I know they are all for your glory and purpose.  Guide me Lord and that empower me to obey!  In Jesus' name, amen.
