Human Origin: Fail; God Origin: Success

Week 22 Day 5
Proverbs 19-21; Romans 13

Proverbs 21:30
There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the LORD.

Therefore, in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail.  But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God." [Acts 5:38-39]
Nothing prospers against what the Lord really wants to do.  Therefore, we need to make sure that we assess whether out actions are going for or against the Lord's will.  Because we know that once we oppose the work of God, we will not succeed.

I will learn to entrust things to the Lord - the things that He wants to do regardless of my reasoning, wisdom, insight, or plan.  Like what Gamaliel preached to the Jewish leaders opposing the apostles, if it anything is done of human origin, it will fail... but if it's from and of God, nothing will succeed against the Lord.  And with this, we know that only time will tell.  Just trust and remain in walking in righteousness; letting God do what He wants to do.  I will just follow.

Lord, sometimes this is difficult to do - to trust and just let time prove its course.  But I also know this is the right thing to do, therefore, I will do in obedience to you.  Thank you for always being so good and timely.  Lead me as I walk in Your paths - even if it means walking with my eyes closed so only You will hold my hand and lead me to Your ways.  I will listen to You always... all the days of my life.  I lift everything up to You.  In Jesus' name, amen.
