Week 21 Day 2
1 Kings 8; 2 Chronicles 5; Psalm 99; Romans 3

Romans 3:21-24 (GNT)
21 But now God's way of putting people right with himself has been revealed. It has nothing to do with law, even though the Law of Moses and the prophets gave their witness to it.22God puts people right through their faith in Jesus Christ. God does this to all who believe in Christ, because there is no difference at all:23 everyone has sinned and is far away from God's saving presence.24 But by the free gift of God's grace all are put right with him through Christ Jesus, who sets them free

We are put right with God (in whom we were originally separated from because of our sinfulness) through our faith in Jesus Christ.  Believing and trusting (putting our confidence in, reliance, submission, surrendering to) in Jesus is an act of receiving God's free gift of grace.  Jesus sets us free from sin - that separation between us and God, who has the ability to kill both body and soul.  We have been reconciled with God through Christ.  Now we can come boldly to Him with full confidence!

Ephesians 3:12
In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.

I do not deserve God's reconciliation because of how bad my life is and has been but PRAISE GOD for Jesus who saved me... I can put my faith in Him and rely on Him knowing that God is faithful to provide a sin offering, a substitute, instead of me dying on that cross. I may sometimes forget its meaning because of my humanness, God forgive me, but I may always keep God's salvation FRESH in my life that I may constantly live a life of gratitude for what He's done.

Because of this, the more I will live my life in a direction that pleases HIM!  I will honor Him with my life and live my life in gratitude of what He's done for me!

THANK YOU GOD for sending Jesus on my behalf.  Truly, this faith I have in Christ, has saved me from a tremendous amount of suffering in hell eternally.  But Lord, You love me so much that You have do that in order that I may live.  I want to live for You all the days of my life and thank you for such a great great great, beyond words, reminder in keeping my salvation story fresh!  I love you, Lord.  In Jesus' name, amen.

Cool stuff from today's reading:
[King Solomon]

1 Kings 8:25-26 (GNT)
And now, Lord God of Israel, I pray that you will also keep the other promise you made to my father when you told him that there would always be one of his descendants ruling as king of Israel, provided they obeyed you as carefully as he did.26 So now, O God of Israel, let everything come true that you promised to my father David, your servant.

1 Kings 8:61 (GNT)
May you, his people, always be faithful to the Lord our God, obeying all his laws and commands as you do today.
