New Name

Isaiah 62:12
They will be called the Holy People, the Redeemed of the Lord; and you will be called Sought After, the City No Longer Deserted.

All that God was the calling the Israelites for was for their good and ultimately for the glory of God.

God's promises are so beautiful to those whose hearts are truly set on Him.

God is willing to change our names just like He did for Israel. He never stopped pursuing them "till her righteousness shines out like the dawn..." (v.1b)

For that to take place, Israel had to make some changes. They had to give up their old ways, throw away the idols they worshipped and make God the ultimate in their lives.

...God is giving me a new name. When I made Christ my Lord, I am now new in Christ.  As I progess in our relationship, I can be assured that God will never give up on me until my righteousness shines out and my salvation lights out like a blazing torch.  I am God's redeemed. I am new in Him.  I will not live the way I used to... Change daily the things thay aren't for God's honor.

...Lord be pleased with my life and let Your righteousness shine out that everyone will see.  Help me to live my life in accordance to your righteousness. In Jesus' name amen.
