Psalm 96:3 (NLT)
3 Publish his glorious deeds among the nations.
Tell everyone about the amazing things he does.
The Lord does great and glorious things – He never fails to do that. When the Psalmist tells us to ‘publish’ or ‘declare’ the glory of God and to ‘tell everyone’ about God’s deeds, it’s a given that this is something we see – His glory. Therefore, we must declare – let the people know about it.
To be sincere in telling people about the amazing things God does in our lives, we must experience God – how His amazingness is a reality in us. It is only then that our testimony and the publicity of God’s glorious deeds through us legitimate. Otherwise, we are just mimicking what the Psalmist says without actually experiencing it. When we say ‘God is great’ or ‘He does amazing things,’ let it be because He really is – personally in our lives; not because someone told us to say so.
// I must experience God daily. It is only then I’ll be able to sincerely tell people that He is good and real and glorious and amazing. I don’t want to be hypocritical when I say ‘Praise God’ or ‘He is awesome!’ But rather, I want to be real – I will experience the Lord daily and moment by moment – thinking about Him and His great things – being thankful about what He has done. Publishing Him all around because He has been so good to me. I will let the world know that He is good and He is GOD!
// Lord, You are indeed good in my life. Just today, You have shown that you are real. Thank you for friends and family that you have blessed me with – they are your instruments of blessings. Help me to be real in my praises to You. You indeed, deserve it. I want to publish Your glory because it is real in my life. I praise You for ALL that You have done in my life and just because that’s who You are – the Great God! :) Amen.
