Moved

Ezra 1:1

In the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, in order to fulfill the word of the LORD spoken by Jeremiah, the LORD moved the heart of Cyrus king of Persia to make a proclamation throughout his realm and also to put it in writing:

 

God:

.. He will fulfill His Word

.. He will use people to speak His word (Jeremiah)

.. He will use His power to “move hearts” of those He wants to use to fulfill His Word

 

Man:

.. God can use us to fulfill His Word and prophecy

.. We are fragile beings; God can “move us” whenever He wants to

 

// When God moves our hearts, we have the ability to choose whether we want to follow or obey His “move” in our lives.  The question is, would we follow His command when we are “moved” in our hearts?   What is God moving me to do in order to fulfill His Word?  I must wait.  

I can also trust that God can move the hearts of people – even kings who did not believe in God Jehovah – to fulfill His Word.  I can trust that He can move the hearts of those who we think would not be moved.  Does not matter how hard we think their heart is, or is blocked by some sort of hindrance, the Lord is able to move their hearts.  He can do that – and they’d have to respond and God will fulfill His Word.

I will pray for those whom God is going to move in – that they will respond to according to the plans of God.  In the same way, I will respond when God moves my heart to fulfill His Word. 

At this point, I am not quite sure exactly what God is moving me in to do.  I do have an idea; yet I will wait some more.

 

// Lord, may you prepare me as the family heads of Judah and Benjamin and the priests and Levites prepared for what You have moved their hearts to do.  I know You want to fulfill Your Word.  Yet, I know also that in fulfillment of Your Word, you want to use me.  So Lord please prepare me for that.  Whatever You want to use me for to fulfill Your plans, I just want to be ready.  Thank You Jesus!  I love You and I will live for You, in Jesus’ name, amen.
