A Good Leader is...

Luke 10:34-35
He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. 35 The next day he took out two denarii[a] and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’

Reminds of a few leadership principles:

.. A good leader will be willing to dirty their hands in order to make a difference in someone's life.
.. A good leader knows how to balance his time. Samaritan had to go on to his own journey and tasks.
.. A good leader knows when to pass the responsibility on - and know where to go and who to hand it over to; someone who is also capable of doing the task he started!

// am I willing to consistently dirty my hands for what necessities arise? Am I able to balance my time wisely between my own personal journey and responsibilities and with those I am helping? Am I able to spot someone who can take on the next step as I move on the next phase? I need to work on these more and more so each day. Right now, really working on balance and being able to let go and pass on the responsibility to those who are now able -- not hoarding responsibilities when someone can actually take on it.

// Lord thank you for your word. Though I have heard some these principles in the past, you continually reveal to me the need to be a good steward of what you have given me. Help me to learn to balance and be able to pass on easily the tasks that I need to let go in order to be more effective in your Kingdom. I want to be used by you and let your glory be revealed through me. So I ask that you give me strength. Thank your for your amazing Word. You are wonderful! In Jesus' name amen.
