Night and Day
Lamentations 3:24-26
24 I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion;
therefore I will wait for him.”
25 The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him,
to the one who seeks him;
26 it is good to wait quietly
for the salvation of the Lord.
Sometimes we feel what Jeremiah felt, not literally but through the different hardships we have in life. Yet one thing we can also get out f Jeremiah's lament is if we wait on the Lord's ways to unfold, we are better off. Jeremiah said that the Lord is His portion and he will wait on His ways -- His salvation because He does not nor will He fail.
I need that same mindset as that of Jeremiah. Ive been having many "nights" lately on the issue of relationships and love. I need to continuously wait on the Lord and remind myself that He is my portion. God's love is unfailing and that I will be better off to wait on Him even in my lamentations. It's okay to have those "nights" because they are temporary. "Day" will soon come. "Dawn" is what tells me it's coming. I need to wait and prepare for the Lord's ways to unfold.
Lord, help me to wait on you more and more, day after day, night after night. Help me to remember that "Day" comes after the "Night". May you help me to be productive even during the night that i may be ready to face the "Day" of your ways unfolding. Thank you Lord. In Jesus' name amen.
