Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I. (John 14:28 KJV)
Be happy when someone we love is obeying The Lord even if it means they are going away from us.
If a person acknowledges that the Father is greater than he is, the we know that that person lives under the Lordship of Christ.
Someone's obedience to The Lord means our joy, not our sadness. If we love a person just as Jesus did we would not worry that they are going away or for us to let them go because we know that this is God's will... For that person and for us. God has his ways and we can trust that it is all for the good of everyone.
// Lord, whatever this means, let Your will be done. Help me to just obey you in everything. In Jesus' name, amen.
