Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.” (Luke 21:36 NIV)
What a timely message. In the last days things will shake us up so much that we end up getting trapped by what's going on around us - recession, wars, immorality, etc. Yet The Lord is reminding us to BE CAREFUL and to BE ALWAYS ON THE WATCH AND PRAY. Instead of fretting, we need to pray and trust in The Lord.
That's exactly where i was last few weeks, fretting and freaking out about the situations in life. But like Jesus said, these things will come and we ought to be prepared and ready for them that they don't trap us. Rather i must continually wait on God and just trust in Him in His ways... I know He will carry me through. If he gives me a new job, I will gladly take it. If it is for me to endure and persevere where I am now and do the best that I can be faithful, then let it be.
Lord, I thank you for your goodness and for giving me this assurance. I thank you for your word. Help me to be a blessing to you and to others. In Jesus name, amen.
