Do not put your trust in princes, Nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help. His spirit departs, he returns to his earth; In that very day his plans perish. (Psalms 146:3, 4 NKJV)
Doesn't mean we do not trust nor obey authorities but all this is saying is that we cannot put our whole trust in humanity who cannot provide eternity. Completely trust in God who's got it all..
// People may promise, bosses may offer great job packages, but I only really need to trust in God. Not even in riches on earth for they cannot provide eternity. Not a "stable job" nor a "steady income" that will provide complete help and satisfaction. Only in God alone. Trust not worldly things and riches. Only God alone!
Do only what will last. Save yourself from the 'letting go' of what we've gotten accustomed to. Rather, trust only Christ and His true riches.
// Lord, thank you for the reminder of trusting completely in you and not in man and its temporary riches and promises. Help me to have an eternal perspective of things - to only do things that will last for eternity. In Jesus' name, amen.
