Psalm 73:25
Who have I in heaven but you?
And earth has nothing I desire besides you.
A beautiful chapter which reminds us that though the world shows how they have plenty, or have accomplished many in the eyes of man, in the end when we truly understand it all, their final destiny is the same - death. So we do not ever need to compare ourselves with those who are 'successful' in the eyes of man. If we completely understand that life is about living for God, we not need to worry about if we measure up with the world or not, but only to God's alone.
// All I must care about is God's cares and what He cares the most. I need not to envy those who are out there are successful in the eyes of man. Not that I will not be successful but I will be successful in the eyes of God solely and those who cares about the cares of God.
...Cafe, grad school, new job, family, etc - all solely for The Lord.
// Lord, I commit today to you, this year and this life. I thank you for the opportunity to understand your word and your ways. I lift my desires to you always, in Jesus' name, amen.
