Luke 23:25
He released the man who had been thrown into prison for insurrection and murder, the one they asked for, and surrendered Jesus to their will.
The suffering of Jesus seemed unjust, as we all know. Yet, Jesus never complained about it. He went through it and even "surrendered to their will" both voluntarily and forcefully. Voluntarily, because he was being obedient to the Father. And forcefully because it seemed that it was what the people wanted. Yet Jesus looked forward to the purpose of all these things, rather than the temporary relief of things...
Similarly, we ought to keep looking forward to the purpose of why we suffer for the things of which we voluntarily and, at times with our current economical situations, forcefully just allow things be. Yet, we need to see and foresee why and the purpose of things.
Definitely, I need to see the purpose of why I am called to full time ministry and last in it by foreseeing the future of the fulfillment of my purpose. I will trust God in everything fully and just persevere.
// Lord, I will go on and never give up. Thank you for the example of the cross. I love you and you are awesome. I will run the race with passion and purpose. In Jesus' name, amen.
