Exposed

John 3:20-21
²⁰Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. ²¹But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."

Stuff:

.. In the light things are seen plainly
.. Many people like to hide things (in the dark) because they are afraid that they'll be exposed (v. 20).
.. Those who are living BY THE TRUTH comes into the light and would want things to be exposed.

.. If the things that we do we try to hide from the light, then there's something wrong
.. There are personal things that are right and there are also those that are wrong
.. We must learn to distinguish which ones are in us that we do that are hidden (as wrong things) and which ones are just personal (but ok to share to the right people)

Belle:

.. I have things that I do not like to share but are not wrong things. There are also things that I hide that are bad (especially thoughts)
.. This is a great way to assess whether or not I am clean/pure in and out if I am able to expose them to the light.
.. Anything that can't be shared or be exposed to the light may be a red light for me that I am doing something wrong. I must be careful.

John 4:50b
The man took Jesus at his word and departed.

How much do I take Jesus' word? How much faith do I have that what He says will happen? I must be like that father whose son was sick. Took Jesus' word that his son would be healed and he was healed at the time Jesus said it to him that he would.

I need to boost up my faith at certain things that God says He would do - based on what He says in His Word. It may be that the reality of that word will come when I completely trust and have faith that it would. I need to keep believing, having faith that what God says will happen even if I see things otherwise. It's not my tangibility that matters, but what He says. TRUST!


:: Lord, thank you for reminding me of your truths. I pray that I will constantly check my actions to whether or not it is worth exposing or not. If not, I pray that you will help me to not get into anything that will cause me to stumble but that in all that I do, you will be glorified - whether in public or private. I pray that you give me the ability to trust in You more especially with the things that seem so impossible to happen. After all, nothing is impossible with You, right? Thank You Jesus. You are so great! I can't fathom You, yet you are so close to me. I lift up everything to You, in Jesus' name, amen.
