Daniel 3:17-18
If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to save us from it, and he will rescue us from your hand, O king. 18 But even if he does not, we want you to know, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up."
Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego are great examples of people who supertrusted God. In the midst of a world-conforming situation, they were able to trust in God to not be molded into the world's.
A few things I saw:
.. God is able to save us in any way He can
.. Trusting God involves trusting in what He can do, what He will do, and what He will not do.
.. God honors those who fully trust in Him.
I need to be to trust God in all of those aspects - can do, will do, will not do. There are things that I know God can do in life, but it is up to His sovereign will if He will do or not do it. He knows what's best and all He really wants me to do is to trust in Him. Doesn't matter what He will do or will not do, will I still be faithful in trusting Him?
:: Lord, You know all things. I pray that you will prepare me for the things you are going to do especially the ones I do not expect to happen. This is all about You and may be remove anything in me that will cause me to distrust or be unfaithful in You. In all aspects of my life, please remind me that trusting in You full-fold. No matter what comes along my way, I know that everything is for the good and the best to give back the glory to Your name. Thank you. In Jesus' name, amen.
