Wk 30 Day 7

Luke 24:6-8
6He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: 7'The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.' " 8Then they remembered his words.

This was the incident when the ladies [Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the others - v. 10] went to see the tomb to bring spices the 3rd day of Jesus' death. Two angels showed up and told them that Jesus has risen.

Principles:

.. When we are being reminded again of what God has already told us, we will recognize it. (v. 6b)
.. It's almost verbatim that we will remember exactly what God has said to us - something that He said might happen or occur.

Apps:

.. The repetition of what God may have told us the first time is another way of confirming that it was really Him who said it.
.. Do not doubt - as the ladies probably did at first - but when they heard and quoted Jesus' very words to them, "They remembered his words."
.. Believe in what God has already said would happen.

Belle:

.. My doubts could stop me from seeing the truth of what God has told me in the past.
.. I have been reminded of some things, very obviously, with the same exact verses and passages (same as my calling!)
.. Yes, I have some what "doubted" it because I didn't want to make up my own conclusion of things; but here it is again, reminding me.
.. For right now, I must not doubt that what God has said would happen because when He says so, it will happen!

BELIEVE. TRUST. SEE IT HAPPEN.

:: Lord, I'm sorry for the doubts in my mind. I pray that you will remove that from me and that I will wholly trust in Your Word. Though you work in ways I can't see with my eyes, I know that your ways are way better than mine - in fact, mine is no comparison. I will trust in You. Help me to trust in You with all that I am in everything in my life. You take control and I will just delight myself in You. May you be pleased in my every day life. In Jesus' name, amen.
