Leviticus 25:20-22
20 You may ask, "What will we eat in the seventh year if we do not plant or harvest our crops?" 21 I will send you such a blessing in the sixth year that the land will yield enough for three years. 22 While you plant during the eighth year, you will eat from the old crop and will continue to eat from it until the harvest of the ninth year comes in.

In Context:

.. this was for the Israelites given through Moses at Mount Sinai.
.. the 7th year is the Sabbath year - a year of rest

Principles:

.. when God says something, He already knows and have figured out the answers to our questions
.. when God orders something to be done (ie. to have a Sabbath), He already knows the "logistics" behind those things

Apps:

.. a good principle to live by also is to prepare for the Sabbath.
.. know that since God already knows the logistics behind, He will so bless our prep time that we will have enough strength, time, resources, etc to enjoy our Sabbath.
.. trust and believe that God's got it all figured out and we don't have to worry about anything
.. just do your part in the preparation process; stay faithful in the job that God has given us to do
.. be ready to enjoy a Sabbath!

Belle:

.. I wonder what awaits me on my 7th year of ministry (2012). I do plan to take a Sabbatical then - not to take a break from the real ministry, but the daily tasks of ministry in order to rest and refresh, get educated (whether formally or in any way) to re-start again on the 8th year. I believe there's something healthy about that - why God would say 7th year is something mysterious. Yet it is a perfect number as seen throughout the Word from the days of creation (Genesis). I trust that He's got something for it. I may not know why at this point, but I will just trust and have faith that He really knows what He's doing.
.. In preparation for the Sabbath year (and even day), I will continue to be faithful in my work in the ministry. To plan ahead and trust that God will bless it.

:: Lord, how awesome You are! You are mysteriously beautiful and has got great things for Your children. I pray that You will guide me as I prepare for the year (days) of Sabbath. As Mikee prayed:

I pray that God will continue to use you in the youth ministry. May the Lord continue to give you anointing, strength, wisdom and provision as you continue to serve the Lord. May you continue to serve with love and in humility.

I lift that up to You! In Jesus' name, amen.
