Psalm 42:5, 11
Why are you downcast, O my soul?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and (6) my God.
My soul is downcast within me;
therefore I will remember you...
When the soul forecast is downcast, PUT YOUR HOPE IN GOD, REMEMBER HIM.
I have prayed to God so many times today to sustain me; to keep my thoughts and my heart clean from any pollution. It worked. But my sometimes you can't "stop the weather".
I must put my hope in God (I do!).
I must praise Him - my Savior and my God.
I must remember Him in the midst of this "weather".
God, thank you for Your Word that reminds me what I ought to be and do when the "weather" is downcast. I pray that you will empower me and sustain me through times like this. Create in me a clean heart Lord and renew the right spirit within me. In Jesus' name, amen.
