Pray and Plan

Acts 1:23-24
²³So they proposed two men: Joseph called Barsabbas (also known as Justus) and Matthias. ²⁴Then they prayed, "Lord, you know everyone's heart. Show us which of these two you have chosen

.. Great example of what it looks like when we pray and plan
.. God works when we do our part
.. He will still do His part even if we don't
.. However, He blesses those who do - and it's still for our benefit

.. The disciples had to choose a replacement for Judas
.. They prayed for it, yet, it didn't end there, they had people in mind
.. When we do something, planning (in this context, the names of who they chose) and praying (entrusting everything to God) is important.

.. Once I've done my part (praying and praying) I just need to entrust everything to God
.. As long as I am not being lazy in doing my job, I believe that God is going to bless things that I do for His glory
.. Simple truths, but this is what it means to be a leader - like Peter - rose up and spoke up (nothing happens until someone leads); chose prospects and entrusted everything up to God.
.. I need to do the same

// Lord, guide me in my leadership in every "group" you bring me in. I pray that you will help me to be more sensitive to whatever you want me to do in the ministry or whichever you want me to lead. Thank you for the opportunity to be used by You. Use me and wear me out until my job is done here on earth. in Jesus' name, amen.
