The Righteous - ii

Romans 2:13
¹³For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God's sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous.

// THOUGHTS:

.. We could hear the Word of God several times
.. We could understand the Word so much
.. We could have enough knowledge about what to do
.. But yet, we can't be declared righteous through those

.. Righteousness is first positionally declared through Christ
.. Righteousness [those who are declared acquitted, freed, justified] are proven through obedience of the law [or the principles of God's Word]

// BELLE:

.. Very simple, but very profound
.. I can learn so much about the Word - but will never be declared freed or justified if I do not put it into action
.. I would still be bound if I am not obedient and doing what I am supposed to do as I know from the Word
.. I gotta do them - big or small
.. I want and desire to remain righteous [freed and acquitted] in the way I live my life
.. Praise God I am already righteous in Him through Christ, now, I gotta follow up that righteousness by how I live my life daily

// LORD, thank you for reminding me of this simple yet profound truth. I pray that I will continue to walk in righteousness in the way I live my life. Help me to remember your principles in my daily walk with You. Whether big or small decisions, I pray that I will be thoroughly and truly obedient to You. Help me not to go easy on the "small" decisions, but to be more watchful since it could always lead big. You've already helped me so much when I have sought You on certain things, I pray that You will help me overcome the small things that lead me to either violate your law or disobey and derail away from your principles. Please help me, in Jesus' name I can do all things, amen.
