2 Corinthians 7:1
1Since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.
// THOUGHTS AND STUFF
.. My reverence for God will help me perfect holiness
.. How can I be kept holy?
.. Purify myself from EVERYTHING that contaminates (dirties the body and spirit)
.. My motivation for perfecting holiness is my deep reverence for God
.. I must revere God more
.. Know God more
.. Learn more about Him either by formal instruction or daily personal encounters with God
.. What will help me revere God? Allowing His Word to unfold - seeing His great miracles and really looking at who God really is and what He is able to do!
// LORD, I want to know you more that I may revere you. I pray that I will always do my best to remove any iota of contamination in my life - body and spirit. Help me to just continually live for You. In Jesus' name, amen
