It Will Happen

Mark 15:6; 16:20
6Now it was the custom at the Feast to release a prisoner whom the people requested.

20Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.

// THOUGHTS:

.. God can use the customs [what is normal or natural to occur because of either tradition or how the world operates culturally] in the world to fulfill the Word of God.
.. God can confirm the truth of His Word through signs that accompanies it

.. God's Word is true and will fulfill it however He desires to
.. He makes ways on how to accomplish His purpose
.. Not that we will be robots or unable to use our free wills, but God will make way in order to fulfill His sovereign will - things that we cannot comprehend as human beings
.. Trust in His Word alone
.. God may use certain things (even the things in the world's custom) in order to fulfill the what the Word says.
.. We have to learn to trust that God has His way of doing things
.. We just need to be faithful in carrying out what He has called us to do as believers, and we leave the rest up to Him
.. So cliche-ish, but that is the truth
.. We are responsible for our own circle of influence, authority, responsibility and our life - how faithful we are in carrying out the call of God in our lives
.. Everything else that is out of control in us, we leave it up to Him

.. The prophecy said that Jesus, the Messiah, was going to be crucified
.. This was fulfilled as it did in ways people in the past did not necessarily understand how it occurred - that even some Jews up to this point still do not believe that Jesus is the Messiah!
.. God accompanies His ways and word through signs - part of how we can prove that it is the work of the Lord

// BELLE

.. I ought to trust completely God's ways
.. I will just rest in God's Word - whatever He says, I know it will happen in His own sovereign timing and will
.. God's work in my life will be seen through the signs that will accompany it just as how it was with the disciples after Jesus rose from the dead. He's the same God, He will work just as mightily as He did before.
.. I will be faithful where I am at!

// LORD, I trust in You. Help me to overcome times of doubt and disbelief in what You said would happen. Thank you that you remain constant in my life. Your Word is truth, sanctify me with it daily. Thank you Jesus. You are my comfort, my refuge, and my security. In Jesus' name, amen.
