35 This is what the LORD says,
he who appoints the sun
to shine by day,
who decrees the moon and stars
to shine by night,
who stirs up the sea
so that its waves roar—
the LORD Almighty is his name:
36 "Only if these decrees vanish from my sight,"
declares the LORD,
"will the descendants of Israel ever cease
to be a nation before me."
37 This is what the LORD says:
"Only if the heavens above can be measured
and the foundations of the earth below be searched out
will I reject all the descendants of Israel
because of all they have done,"
declares the LORD.

.. [In context] God speaking about the restoration of Israel; spoke through the prophet Jeremiah
.. Tells me the greatness of God and His love for His people - in this case, Israel
.. His love cannot be measured just as we cannot measure the heavens above or the foundations of the earth below
.. Even the ones that God often speaks against about (Ephraim - 31:20), He still remembers him and yearns for his repentance.
.. God is so compassionate yet is just
.. He disciplines his people with justice because that is Who He is.

.. He is just with all the things I do
.. He knows when to do things and what to do because He is God
.. He disciplines me when He knows it's necessary
.. Just like Israel who needed to return to God's immeasurable love, I must cling to Him as well. I must run back to Him daily; make it a goal to embrace His love by doing what He desires of me to do for His love and glory to be shown. Many times I have failed God in my life, yet He remains loving to me. He is just in all that He does to my life and I know I don't deserve anything He's giving, yet He does. I owe Him my life. I will and must live for Him. My life must show a life of gratitude. I must remember that He will never let me go nor leave me alone - He cares for me. My security is in Christ alone. His love for me will never end.
// LORD my God and Saviour, Jesus Christ. How great is your love for me. Forgive me for neglecting it at times and forgetting Your enormous immeasurable love. You care for me enough for everything in my life and I must not have an inch of worry for the small things I care about. If you care about the hugeness of life, how much more do you care about the small things I care about. I pray that my life will be living a life of gratitude. Not deserving anything but because of Your great love for me, You let me share in the blessings. You are so great. I will live my life in awe of Your greatness. In Jesus' name, amen.
