Enough of That

1 Peter 4:2-3
2As a result, he does not live the rest of his earthly life for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God. 3For you have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to do—living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing and detestable idolatry.
// THOUGHTS:
As believers, our call is now to live for the will of the Lord at all times in our lives.  It is very true... we have spent enough time in the past doing what our own desires chose to do.  But now that we belong to Christ, we ought to be only having one goal - to live for the will of God.
Therefore, when our past tends to lurk within us or tempt us to do the same things we use to do, we must resist it immediately; holding our integrity with the best of our ability as God has enabled us and has given us everything we need in life and godliness through our knowledge of him (2 Peter 1:3).  We do not have any excuse NOT to do or choose the godly things esp. since Christ has already given us EVERYTHING WE NEED through our knowledge of him.  Meaning, we must know more of Him by soaking ourselves in the Word - that will guide us to which paths to take daily in life.
// BELLE:
After writing all my pre-millennium major events, I really did have spent enough time in the past doing things outside the will of God.  Now that I am in Christ and have been saved by the power of Christ's blood, I must live my life in accordance to His will; living my life in holiness knowing that God has already given me ALL things that I need to live that way - through knowing more of Him.
_Praticals:
  • will devour God’s Word more and more daily
  • get to know Him through personal spiritual encounter in prayer times
  • always be aware of His presence in all that I do
// LORD, thank you for your Word that has given me insights and reminder of what it means to truly live for You.  Thank you for forgiving me for what I have done in the past.  I do not want to go back to them at all and I thank you for enabling me to move up in my repentance, only through Your  power and grace.  I pray that You will continue to help my will to choose you in my daily walk of knowing You more that I may have my daily provision of what I need to live in holiness.  I praise You, in Jesus’ name, amen.
