Patient Endurance

Revelation 7:13-14 (NASB)
 13Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, "These who are clothed in the white robes, who are they, and where have they come from?"
 14I said to him, "My lord, you know." And he said to me, "These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

// THOUGHTS:

Whatever predisposition anyone may have regarding the tribulation and the millennial reign, this passage reminds me of the importance of perseverance and patient endurance of us hanging on to our faith in Christ.

Whether that we be taken up in the rapture, have died before the rapture, left behind for a Godly purpose (as God wills), etc... let nothing in this world stop us from pursuing God and growing in our faith that we may indeed finish the race of life.

// BELLE:

I want to patiently endure and persevere to the end with my walk with Christ.  I want to be able to finish this race and more than anything, be ready for Christ's return. I want to meet my "husband" - Jesus Christ, pure and blameless through His blood that's been shed on the cross for me.

Whatever small or big thing that tries to get in the way of my perseverance - maybe things that sometimes wear me out or suck my energy out thus making me spiritually "lazy" in continually running the race - I must not be moved or be distracted in Jesus' name.

Just like working out - my mind really works and sometimes gets me lazy not to move, run, or go to the gym - I must condition my mind with God's truth (His Word) and let it sit on firm ground.

// LORD, I pray that you strengthen me - my heart and my mind - that no matter what hindrances, obstacles, mind-boggling things that try stop my perseverance or stunt it, I will run the face til the end.  Empower me Lord by Your grace and help me to always be soaked in Your truth that nothing will stop me from pursuing you and meeting you face to face at your appointed time.  Thank You, in Jesus' name, amen.
