At Times, We Don't

Week 3 Day 5
Genesis 44-46; Luke 18

Luke 18:34
"The disciples did not understand any of this.  Its meaning was hidden from them, and they did not know what he was talking about."

// THOUGHTS:

It may have been difficult for the disciples to not understand a lot of what Jesus was saying.  But one thing was commendable:  they still followed and believed in Jesus!

It's true that there are things in life, words in the Bible, and situations where God is moving when we don't understand any of it; or they don't make sense to us.  Yet, the question remains, "Are we still going to follow and believe in Jesus?!"

// BELLE:

Yes, I truly agree that there are A LOT of things I do not understand - whether it be from the Word of God (although the more I read it, the more I begin to understand, praise God!), controversies about the truth, situations in my life, prayers that remain "unanswered" or "in the waiting", etc, yet, I know that the Lord holds true to any of what is in the Word whether I understand it or not.  I will keep believing.  I will keep following.  I will keep yielding.  I'm sure God knows all things and that one day, I will understand.  My lack of understanding does not change the nature of my God.  Therefore, I must remain in Him.

// LORD, You are true!  Regardless of the things I do not currently understand, You are still the same.  Help me to be discerning everyday of what it is that You want me to learn so I can be a blessing to You and to others; helping them understand when You have allowed me to also understand what's going on.  You are good!  In Jesus' name, amen.
