Week 6 Day 5
Leviticus 10-12; Acts 16
Acts 16:40
After Paul and Silas came out of the prison, they went to Lydia’s
Encouragement was a vital part of the Apostles' lives as it is to all of us believers. Even at this time when Paul and Silas who just encountered some difficulty (just got jailed and bailed), they were still able to encourage other people (not even counting the times while they were still inside jail that miracles also happened: got out during singing praises to God, jailer and his family getting saved, and officially getting out of jail).
In spite of what's going in our lives, we can still encourage others that they may be lifted up and God be glorified.
// BELLE:
If character is the sum of all my habits, then I must "engrave" encouragement as part of my character by habitually doing it regardless of what's going on in my life. Sometimes it's easy to encourage someone who is nice and lovable but not the one who always irritates us. I need to give encouragement regardless of what I feel towards a person. In all things, I must give God the glory and if giving God the glory includes encouraging someone, I must obediently do so.
// LORD, I will encourage regardless of how I feel. I want you to be glorified in my life. May you be pleased with your servant today. In Jesus' name, amen.
