Run Aground

Week 9 Day 1
Numbers 7-8; Acts 27

Acts 27:25-26
So keep up your courage, men, for I have faith in God that it will happen just as he told me. 26 Nevertheless, we must run aground on some island.”

"...the angel made clear that Paul had a greater destiny than death by shipwreck.  The divine plan was not going to be thwarted." (The Apologetics Study Bible)

Paul:

Got a word from the Lord.
Trusted the word of the Lord through an angel.
Even told people about it as an encouragement to them.
Must've been convinced of what the angel said that he encouraged others about.
[He's had to be encouraged first before he could encourage others, right? or his encouragement to others affirmed his conviction to trust and believe what the angel said.  Either way, he trusted and acted upon it.]
He had a plan of action - "Nevertheless, we must run aground on some island."

Belle:

What has God said already?
Have I trust what He's said to me?
Am I convinced of what God has told me that I can encourage others?
Have I encouraged others to affirm the conviction God has given me through His Word?
What's my plan of action to "run aground..."?

All these questions still baffle my thinking.  Though they are simple and easy to answer (a yes/no  question), I ought to examine my heart.  Yes, I know what God said already.  Yes, I have to trust what He's said.  Yes, I am convinced.  Yes, I have encouraged others about it.  Now, what's my plan of action?  I have docked the boat.  Now, I need to just continually trust in what God has said that His ways are higher than mine; and that His divine plans will not be thwarted by shipwrecks and natural "calamities" but it will carry through the time it has been promised for it to happen.

TRUST OVER AGAIN!

// Lord, sigh, I do need to get reminded of this over again.  Please help me to "run aground" and not hang on to the ship anymore.  I've decided to already do this and You have been merciful and faithful to me.  I know You are always there for me whenever I think about this.  And i know You will carry me through until that divine-planned event will occur.  You take control.  Please help me to trust in You and to rely on You over again.  In Jesus' name, amen.
