Week 8 Day 4
Numbers 10-11; Psalm 27; Mark 1
Psalm 27:4-5 (AMP)
4One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek, inquire for, and [insistently] require: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord [in His presence] all the days of my life, to behold and gaze upon the beauty [the sweet attractiveness and the delightful loveliness] of the Lord and to meditate, consider, and inquire in His temple.
5For in the
In the presence of the Lord there is peace.
In the presence of the Lord there is comfort.
In dwelling in the Lord, there is refuge.
In dwelling in the Lord, there is shelter.
In dwelling in the Lord, there is exaltation.
In dwelling in the Lord, there is protection.
We may have a lot of troubles in life, but one thing is sure: that if we dwell in The Dwelling place of the Lord, there is protection, peace, comfort, refuge, and security.
How do we get into The Dwelling place? Get into the presence of the Lord - that is "The Dwelling". Invite His presence in to your life daily. Seek His presence in every moment. And acknowledge His presence where you are.
// BELLE:
I admit that there are times, I forget to "invite" the presence of the Lord in whatever I do. By "invite" I mean "to acknowledge" His presence where ever I am. He is omnipresent and He doesn't need my invitation for Him to dwell in a certain place. However, He longs to be invited by me - that I willfully "invite" Him in all that I do.
I also have a lot of troubles in life, just as everyone else. But I know and have proven that when the presence of the Lord is present in my life [willfully acknowledged and led by His direction], I have nothing to worry about.
Therefore, today and always, I will "invite" and willfully always be in "The Dwelling" of the Lord. Then, I know I have comfort, rest, peace, protection, and unconditional refuge.
Lord, Your Word is always timely. Thank you for such a great reminder again that I always need Your presence in my life; that I would "invite" you daily in all that I do; that You will be my reason for why I do things in life and the reason of who I am, most importantly. I pray that in all I do today, tomorrow and always, that Your Word will be hidden in my heart, that Your presence will be evident in my life as I talk to people, and that my life will only characterize The Dwelling place of the Lord. I desire that, Lord. Please lead me to that heart daily and help me to respond with gladness and discipline in doing so. In Jesus' name, amen.
