Week 16 Day 2
Psalm 59:16-17 (AMP)
16But I will sing of Your mighty strength and power; yes, I will sing aloud of Your mercy and loving-kindness in the morning; for You have been to me a defense (a fortress and a high tower) and a refuge in the day of my distress.
17Unto You, O my Strength, I will sing praises; for God is my Defense, my Fortress, and High Tower, the God Who shows me mercy and steadfast love.

- A person who trusts in the Lord will not be moved by what’s going on around him because his life will be guarded thoroughly.
- God is our fortress – we are fully protected from the distresses of life, the attacks of the enemy, the weather-change, season-change, etc.
- God is a fortress and a high tower, a refuge! He is a Defense! And shows mercy and steadfast love.
- In Christ, we are secure. No season-change will cause us to be afraid because we are protected.
- What is there for us to do? Do not leave the fortress, do not escape, remain in there, and enjoy!

I will remain inside. God is my fortress and has been my refuge all along. I may sometimes feel afraid of what’s “out there” but I do not need to worry because God has that taken cared of for me. I just need to remain inside and enjoy His company knowing that I am safe as long as I am with Him and in Him.
I don’t know why many times people would worry about what’s “out there” when all that stuff is already been fought for for me. The battles in life is not mine – just like this fortress; all battles are won outside the fortress (building-wise) and it’s all been defeated already. I just need to enjoy and remain inside.
In my life, God has already defeated my enemies. I just have to enjoy His presence in my life and see what is there to do for me that I can give Him back what He deserves, my life as a living sacrifice. And even if when another battle comes along, the Lord will fight for me and He will just hide me inside His fortress. I am safe and secure in His fortress.
>>>>
Lord, indeed, I will sing of Your love! You are and have been my Strength! I have nothing to worry about because You always got my back. All-around me is Your protection and I will just enjoy being in Your fortress! Thank you so much and I can’t repay You enough for all that You have done for me. Please help me to live a life of sacrifice. I offer to You my life and I will remain in Your presence for as long as I live. In Christ’s name, amen.
