Week 19 Day 5

2 Samuel 19-20; Psalm 55; Matthew 28

Psalm 55:16-19a

16 As for me, I call to God,
   and the LORD saves me.
17 Evening, morning and noon
   I cry out in distress,
   and he hears my voice.
18 He rescues me unharmed
from the battle waged against me,
   even though many oppose me.
19 God, who is enthroned from of old,
   who does not change—

>>

A cry of one who is in distress.  Yet, the Lord shows Himself faithful.

“He rescues me unharmed…” the Lord upholds the righteous – regardless of the distress that’s going on around, He protects the righteous.  He provides a way out without harm.  The battle may take some time to finish, yet, the righteous remains unharmed.

We can trust that God will keep us safe even at times of battles and “wars” in our lives.  We got to stay in the center of God’s will – to stay righteous (practically) – because God is pleased with that and will not hold back his protection and blessings to those who pleases Him.

He “does not change…” – and it’s true.  Hold fast.  The battle may take some time, but you will be unharmed if you remain in God’s righteousness!

God, indeed, rescued me unharmed – many times!  Praise God!  I will continue to trust in His protection and care knowing that though these battles of mine may last a little while, I know that I will be alright in God’s arms.  Just need to be faithful as the days go along!  Go with the flow of His guidance because that’s where I am safe!  :)

Lord, thank you for the assurance of your protection and your guidance.  I know that I ought to remain faithful.  The rainbow is coming after this rain.  Victory is coming after this battle.  Blessings will come after this time of “famine”.  You indeed teach me awesome things and You just want me to be faithful.  Please help me to just go with what You have prepared for me.  I know you will carry me through the battles I am facing.  Thank You Lord because You are true and You are just there.  Thank you and I love you so much!  In Jesus’ name, amen.
