Week 19 Day 3
2 Samuel 17; Psalm 71; Matthew 26
Psalm 71:14, 20-21
As for me, I will always have hope;
I will praise you more and more.
20 Though you have made me see troubles,
many and bitter,
you will restore my life again;
from the depths of the earth
you will again bring me up.
21 You will increase my honor
and comfort me once more.
>>
This is a Psalm of David while in the middle of distress; acknowledging God as his hope, the one who will restore him and comfort him.
In times of troubles [many and bitter], we may rest in the thought and truth that God is always our hope; the God who will restore us again better than ever; the God who will bring us up and the God who will increase honor and provide comfort.
Therefore, we praise Him still – even more and more because He is a God who will never change nor forget what He’s promised. He is true and will never ever change.
Hang on. Take heart. Have hope. Praise more and more.
>>>
How timely! I believe that God is going to this in my life in the same way He did to David. I will also put my hope in the Lord knowing that He is my comfort, my restorer, my hope and everything in my life. I will sing to Him more and more! TEHILLAH all the way!
>>>>
Lord, I know you remain true. Regardless all the bitter and many troubles I have been facing this year, I know you are still my hope, you are my comfort, you are my restorer. I will sing to You still… I will praise You still… because You never change! Thank You for you remain as You are! Thank you so much that I can have hope even when sometimes it seems that there’s no end to the troubles. However, I look forward to what’s coming ahead – the increase of honor, the comfort once more, and the full restoration of my life and heart. You are indeed wonderful. Forgive me for my wrongs and I will indeed live for You all the days of my life! In Jesus’ name, amen.
