Week 19 Day 2.5
Psalm 32; Matthew 25
Matthew 25:23
“His Master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few thing; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness.”
>>
Life is indeed a test. Time is also a test.
When the servants were given various amount of talents, it was in their possession temporarily (since it was owned by the Master) to see what they would do about it.
The Master left (or took his hand “away” from the servants) for a while [he went on a journey]. When he came back, he checked what the servants did to it.
Those who multiplied their temporary talents were commended as “good and faithful”. The one who didn’t do anything about it was labeled “wicked and lazy.”
When we do not do anything about God’s possessions temporarily loaned to us, we are actually being wicked and lazy. It is then, evil not to do anything about what God has entrusted us with. We ought to “multiply it” which means, we take care of it, we “groom” it, we make it grow, we handle it with care, etc. What do these include? Our material possessions and including the call that God has for us to do for His Kingdom.
Be a good handler of God’s possession – take care of it, groom it, and multiply it – so when Christ comes back and gives account to all the things we’ve done with His possessions on earth, we can enter into His happiness as well.
>>>
I will be faithful in multiplying the tasks and possessions that God has temporarily loaned to me. I will do my best to take care of it and enjoy myself in growing with it faithfully. These are all for the glory and happiness of my Master. I will do even more so than what I am already doing now. Anything that’s causing me to not multiply or grow this ‘talent’ (possessions or tasks) that God has loaned to me temporarily, I will immediately overcome by doing something about it!
>>>>
Lord, thank you for this verse that gives joy to my heart in serving you more faithfully. I pray that You will indeed give me the strength to continually grow what You have loaned to me for the moment. I am already enjoying things even though things of its multiplication is still on the way. I will be faithful in multiplying! In Jesus’ name, amen.
