Mercy, mercy, mercy

Luke 6:36

36So be merciful (sympathetic, tender, responsive, and compassionate) even as your Father is [all these].

Who are we to not show mercy to those who’ve wronged us or have done wrong things to others causing us to dislike or even to the point of hating them when God himself has already forgiven us and has given us another chance to live our lives for His glory and honor?

God is rich in mercy.

Man is so limited.

What does this tell me? I have already forgiven those who have wronged me – from the past and those of the present.  I need to just be sympathetic, tender, responsive, and compassionate to everyone no matter what they’ve done because God has also forgiven me. I have no right to not have mercy on others when I myself am the worst of all sinners.

I am just going to live my life thinking of God’s mercy then I’d always remember that I do not deserve God’s grace, yet He forgave me!

LORD – I am such in awe of your mercy. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I love you and I will live for you! In Jesus’ name, amen.
