Unimaginable

Jeremiah 17:27 NLT

“‘But if you do not listen to me and refuse to keep the Sabbath holy, and if on the Sabbath day you bring loads of merchandise through the gates of Jerusalem just as on other days, then I will set fire to these gates. The fire will spread to the palaces, and no one will be able to put out the roaring flames.’”

It's pretty crazy how the Lord is very serious when he says, He will consume or will do this or that.  I think about "fortresses" as whatever man puts their security on.. will it be money or people or ministry or abilities or talents or knowledge, etc.  The Lord does not have a problem destroying those things if and when we start disobeying or not keeping the Word of the Lord as His chosen people.  God is powerful enough to do the unimaginable both for the good and for the bad.

God demands from us complete obedience to His word.  He can do the unimaginable both for good and bad. Choose to do what God demands and commands out of us because that is what God desires, that we obey Him wholly.

Which area of my life am I not obeying the Lord fully?  I need to moment by moment be aware of God's direction for me to obey.  God can break anything I put my security in besides Him. I must make sure my security is the Lord.  God being my security means strong and immovable.  I will build my fortress in the Lord.

Lord, you are my strength and my song.  I will build my security in you and I will obey you in totally of my life.  Be glorified in this being that you dwell in.  Help me daily Lord. In Jesus' name, amen.
