“RE-ing”

1 John 2:24-25

24 So you must remain faithful to what you have been taught from the beginning. If you do, you will remain in fellowship with the Son and with the Father. 25 And in this fellowship we enjoy the eternal life he promised us.

What has God taught me from the beginning?  A lot!  I must remain faithful to what I already know from the truth.

Why faithfulness?  Because life will be tough day after day.  Remain in what we have learned from before.  Refresh them.  Review them.  Re-apply them.

Sometimes we tend to look for “new knowledge” when we still have so much knowledge we need to “Re-“

What have I learned already when it comes to handling various situations – reapply the Word, refresh the truth, review what’s already learned.  Remain faithful to what has been taught from the beginning for there is a strong connection (fellowship) with God the Father and Son through our faithfulness to the truth we have learned.

My faithfulness to what I have learned means not swaying away, forgetting them, or putting them aside but rather doing all the “RE-“ of them in every aspect.

I need to do a lot of “RE-ing.”  This season is indeed a tough one… and God is faithful in reminding me to be faithful to Him and to what has been already taught to me from the beginning.  That I may not be swayed away by any new human philosophies or ideologies, or ways of doing things (even to the smallest of topics in life) but rather, sticking to the truth of God’s word.  I am not compromising my stand on the truth of God’s Word!

I WILL BE FAITHFUL TO WHAT HAS BEEN TAUGHT TO ME FROM THE BEGINNING!

Lord, I will be faithful and that is my decision.  I pray that You empower me with your grace that I may stand against the work of the enemy that tries to lure me into forgetting “old” truths and applications of such.  I will obey You and be faithful in everything!  In Jesus’ name, amen.
