Riddance

Psalm 144:11-15

¹¹Rid me, and deliver me from the hand of strange children, whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood:

¹²That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace:

¹³That our garners may be full, affording all manner of store: that our sheep may bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our streets:

¹⁴That our oxen may be strong to labour; that there be no breaking in, nor going out; that there be no complaining in our streets.

¹⁵Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the LORD.

 

David knew his position in the kingdom of God – that God would use him to be someone to build up the youth; sons like plants grown up in their youth; daughters like polished pillars to adorn a palace; barns filled with provision; sheep increased in thousands; no going into captivity nor cries in distress on the streets!

All He asked was to be delivered and be rid of the enemies that spoke lies and falsehood.

 

How can this happen? 

.. God could supernaturally get rid of David’s enemies

.. God will give David the gracious ability to “rid” of them – spiritually speaking

 

Lessons:

.. Know what God has called us – our identity, our call, our position

.. “Rid” of the enemy – whether it be spiritually, physically or emotionally.

 

// BELLE:

I know where God called me last – to the ministry and doing His Kingdom work.

I must not allow the enemy to break into what God called me to be.

God can rid of the enemy and destroy it that I may do what God called me to do – and that His work will be established again.

Belle, do not allow those who destroy or speak lies to ruin what God has called you to be.  Stay on course.  Rid of the enemy by doing your part.  Establish the work of the Lord once again and do not allow the enemy to steal, kill or destroy that vision God has given to you.

 

// LORD, please give me grace to know how to get rid of the “enemies” surrounding me.. those who may or may have spoken lies against and have hindered the vision that you have for me – to fulfill the plans that you have for me.  Help me to be open to the “how’s” and the “when’s” of this riddance.  I’ve forgiven them Lord, so you may you take care of them.  I lift that up to You and may you be glorified with my life.  In Jesus’ name, amen.
