His Glory

John 7:15, 17 (NLT)

“The people were surprised when they heard him.  “How does he know so much when he hasn’t been trained?” the asked.

Anyone who wants to do the will of God will know whether my teaching is from God or is merely my own.

It’s easy to spot someone who’s just speaking something for themselves and their glory – when I am so in tuned with God’s will, I can discern and tell whether someone who’s speaking about something is truth or not.  In the same way, people who are just as seeking the will of God, will know whether when I speak, I am only speaking for my own honor and glory and not God’s.

Therefore, always remain in the center of God’s will or in the constant seeking of God’s will, His ways, and His glory for it is when we can discern truth from lies.

Another thought out of this passage reminds me that when God infuses us with His Spirit inside of us, we are able to do things beyond our known abilities.  God is able to shine forth Himself through us when our hearts are completely sold out to the glorification of His name.

// BELLE:

_remain the center of God’s will

_I can be comforted that I can do great things for the Lord (with or without training) as long as I know I am doing what God wants me to do for His glory

_I can discern people’s words whether they are truth or lie when I am in the constant seeking of God

_I gotta always check my motives to make sure that when I speak, I am bringing glory to the Lord, not my ownself or drawing attention to what “I know”

// Lord, thank You that You are so great!  Thank you for such a great example of what it means to be fully surrendered to the Father and completely doing what He calls us to be.  I pray that You will help me to live my life ALWAYS for the glory of your name and not my own glorification.  I just commit to you this day and all that I have to do.  In Jesus’ name, amen.
