Exodus 12:4
4 If any household is too small for a whole lamb, they must share one with their nearest neighbor, having taken into account the number of people there are. You are to determine the amount of lamb needed in accordance with what each person will eat.
The Lord is specific in his instructions with our specific obedience to follow through it as well. We must know what the Lord is instructing us to do and follow through specifically what He has asked or commanded of us to do. Why? That is how He operates and He is pleased when we do obey Him as well as bless us – same as when the Lord passed over the people who followed the instruction of putting blood on their doorposts – He will bless us the same way; we reap a good blessing when we specifically follow through God’s commands.
// Today, I will need to to be keen on what God is instructing me to do so I can specifically obey Him and follow through His instructions exactly how He instructed it. But even at times when I think I am now stressing “just to DO what was being instructed” then I am not doing it healthily as well. God’s commands are not burdensome, so it must bring me joy when I do obey it specifically as instructed.
// Lord, help me to be keen on Your instructions for me today. Guide me so clearly that I will just enjoy myself in following you. In Jesus’ name amen.
