I and They

Psalm 145:4-6

4 One generation commends your works to another;
they tell of your mighty acts.
5 They speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty—
and I will meditate on your wonderful works.
6 They tell of the power of your awesome works—
and I will proclaim your great deeds.

THEY

- speak

- tell

I WILL

- meditate

- proclaim

Indeed, this is how God’s goodness is being passed on to us.

We may be the “I” right now as we hear the “speaking” and “telling” of the older generations (grandparents, parents, older relatives…) thus, we ought to do our part – MEDITATE on what was spoken and PROCLAIM what has been told.

This speaks about God’s unchanging nature.

One day we will be the “They” and our children will be the “I” thus, we ought to also SPEAK and TELL of what God has done.

This is the cycle of praise – the commending of God’s works and the telling of His mighty acts from generations to generations.

We have our “ranks” and “positions” right now --- let us be faithful to who we are; whether “I” or the “They”

// Since I am an “I” – I will meditate and proclaim so when I become the “They” I can speak about it and tell about it to the next generation coming up behind me (Julia’s)

MEDITATE ON GOD’S WONDERFUL WORKS

PROCLAIM GOD’S GREAT DEEDS

Let that sink in.

// Lord, I want to meditate and proclaim of your great deeds and wonderful works that I may be able to speak about it and tell about it.  It is only then I will be able to genuinely speak and tell about it once I have experienced it in my life.  Indeed, You have been good and You have shown Your great love to me by all that You do.  I just commit to You my life – my days and my thoughts – that it will be ALL ABOUT YOU!  In Jesus’ name amen.
