New Thing!

Ezekiel 40:2-4

2 In visions of God he took me to the land of Israel and set me on a very high mountain, on whose south side were some buildings that looked like a city. 3 He took me there, and I saw a man whose appearance was like bronze; he was standing in the gateway with a linen cord and a measuring rod in his hand. 4 The man said to me, “Son of man, look carefully and listen closely and pay attention to everything I am going to show you, for that is why you have been brought here. Tell the people of Israel everything you see.”

This is a very interesting experience Ezekiel had.  A few things are relatable to us:

_the Lord can bring us to another place so we can have new perspective – Ezekiel was taken to a high place so he can look down and observe.

_when the Lord takes us to another phase of perspective, He wants us to look carefully and listen closely and pay attention to everything!

_the Lord has the ability to show us ahead of time what can happen in the future

_when the Lord wants to show us what’s ahead, it can be very detailed

Though this was for Israel – Ezekiel seeing a “new thing,” in the same way with us, if we remain in the center of the will of God, we can inherit prosperity and blessings (Psalm 128:2.)  The Lord can bring “new things” in us; He gives us that opportunity to see them ahead as well.  When He does show us, it has all its details – nice and perfect because the Craftsman of such “new thing” is perfect in everything.

As Ezekiel went through that (and there’s more details on the next chapters,) there’s one thing that can be noticed:  Israel wasn’t there yet.  It was just something that was going to come.  Hence, since there is something coming, the next thing would be to prepare for it.

// TO PREPARE for something NEW! I believe the Lord has a reason why these chapters had to be read now… The Lord is going to do something new.  I have been given a word and I will prepare for it.  Yes, it has been consuming me lately and in the same way, I can “see” how it could be.  Though not fully yet  but little by little I can see what’s coming ahead.  It’s something good and it’s something I’ve desired for a long while – since high school.  For now, I can prepare by:  staying the center of God’s will, walking in His ways, continually seeking His Word and guidance for direction, seeking advice, clearing up any obstacles (paying off any debts,) looking ahead and planning what was “seen,” and just trusting in His timing as when these things will come to pass.  I can trust in His word – it will be something new, something good, something that will bring glory to His name.  Then I will go from there… PREPARE!

// Lord, I will just be ready – help me to be ready.  Help me to be faithful in the preparation process that You will help me to endure and persevere.  It’s in Your time that this new thing will arrive and come into realization.  I will trust that in every little step of this journey is going to be adventurous because You always make things exciting.  I’m just going to ride with what You have  ahead.  I do not completely understand how one year I am there and one year I am here and another year to something different again… I just trust in You.  One thing I notice is that, each day could be a calling to brand new “career path,” and I do not get it – however, one thing I do get is that when You lead me to something, it’s always going to be something that fits in the puzzle of Your perfect plan for me for the glory of Your name.  I commit my life to You and everything that is coming ahead.  Help me to take a step of faith in the area of this “NEW THING.”  I know it’ll be a great journey! I love You Lord Jesus and I will just follow You and obey each of Your leading.  In Jesus’ name, amen.
