Uncircumcised Heart and Flesh

Instead of carrying out your duty in regard to my holy things, you put others in charge of my sanctuary. This is what the Sovereign LORD says: No foreigner uncircumcised in heart and flesh is to enter my sanctuary, not even the foreigners who live among the Israelites. (Ezekiel 44:8, 9 NIV84)

The Lord is really picky of people whi serves Him in the temple.. he has a criteria -- circumcised in the heart and flesh. Of course, the flesh part is a common sense to us New testament believers but the circumcision of the heart is one that highly applies greatly to us.. How many times have we defiled the "temple of the Lord" and have allowed any detestable things and practices in it? Not only God's temple is the church, but also our bodies. We ought to not allow any "foreigner" and anything "uncircumcised in heart and flesh" to enter this temple of ours. If God is picky, then we ought to be careful as well.

// do not allow "others" to be in charge of God's temple, my body, but rather let anything in only those that are holy and pleasing to the Lord. Nothing that will break God's covenant or ruin God's temple.

Again, goes back to the idea of having a balanced life. I know that there are many times I have gone out of balance and allowed others to "be in charge" of this temple, even those that are good.. Yet i know i need to only allow what God allows to be let in my temple.. Including the food i eat, the things i use my time and money with, what i say Yes to, etc. i need to have more margin time with the Lord. Sometimes i am too busy of the wrong things. Putting blame on others thinking that they have things under control. Yet i know the Lord does not bless the things that dont eventually give glory to His name.. So i need to make sure i filter out the things that are "uncircumcised in heart and flesh" and only allow what God allows in His temple. In this case, my body - his temple.

Lord, please help me to see what you really need me to filter out... Help me to see what you want me to enter into this temple,my body, Your temple. Give me wisdom Lord as i filter it out. I really dont know yet but i know ull surface it out. I am willing. Help me and give me strength. In Jesus' name, amen.
