Just Go With The Flow!

Luke 1:48

48 For he took notice of his lowly servant girl,
and from now on all generations will call me blessed.

The Lord sees all of us as equals.  And because we are equal in His sight, the “lowliest” perceived on earth can still be used by the Lord to bring forth blessings (to the point of even, salvation) through ALL GENERATIONS.  When we are feeling “less” or “lowly,” remember that God can use us.  All that God wants of and from us is our obedience and our willingness to go with what He wants to do through us.

Mary must’ve felt “Why me?!” Not in a complaining way, but more of thinking that out of all the women on earth, why was she chosen to be the one to carry the Savior of the world?  Because God willed it that way.  So whenever we ask the Lord, “Why me?” then we have to look to the bigger picture – God is getting His will and His word accomplished through us.  Be a willing and obedient vessel.  Just go with the flow of God’s direction because when we are, it will bless generations and we in turn can have the opportunity to be called “Blessed.”

// Sometimes I think this to myself, “Why did the Lord place me in this wonderful situation as where I am now?”  -- today, I felt the love of being a part of something big; something that I know can impact the world.  Why am I “accidentally” put in this situation even in my humble situation of just being a youth leader at a small church?  The answer is, because God just wants to; He wills to.  And my part is to be obedient to Him and to be willing to be used by Him even if there are times I do not understand His great ways – his good ways that I do not completely understand.  I must go with His flow.  As long as I am obedient and willing to Him, generations will not only call me “Blessed” like they did for Mary, but also receive blessings themselves.  Just go with the flow of God’s direction! :)

// LORD – My soul does magnify YOU!  My God, My Saviour!  I do not deserve to experience such wonderful things in life, whether they are big or small.  But I AM GRATEFUL for ALL of these things, experiences, and happenings.  Though life is difficult, YOU HAVE BEEN MY SAVIOR indeed.  I will just go with Your flow no matter what it is – no matter “how embarrassing” it will be (as Mary was, carrying Jesus in the womb.)  If as radical as that is Your will for me, help me to be obedient and willing to You!  Please show me what this radical thing is that will bring salvation to people.  Thank YOU and I will be listening.  In Jesus’ name, amen.
