Psalm 147:12-14 (KJV)

12Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion.

13For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children within thee.

14He maketh peace in thy borders, and filleth thee with the finest of the wheat.

PRAISE brings a lot out of the power of God.

Why and how?  It is a mystery – yet we know that when we praise the Lord, great things come out of it.

In NLT it says, “Glorify the LORD…” which means bring praise to Him, bring in whatever that glorifies the name of the Lord.

Details include:

.. strengthened the bars

.. blessed children

.. made peace around

.. filled with finest choice wheat (food)

BRING IN WHATEVER THAT GLORIFIES THE NAME OF THE LORD.  In my situations, I must resolve to do whatever that ultimately brings glory to the name of the Lord.  I need to be willing to deny myself as I am not my God nor my Lord but the Lord Jehovah Jesus Christ Himself is… Therefore, I must make that my goal in every circumstance.  HOW CAN I GIVE GLORY TO THE LORD IN THIS SITUATION?  HOW CAN I ULTIMATELY BRING GLORY TO HIM IN THE MIDST OF THINGS THAT ARE OPPOSE TO MY OWN FEELINGS AND REASONINGS?  I must trust that God has the best intentions and plans and I will not allow the enemy to steal away the joy of bringing glory to my FATHER IN HEAVEN.

// Oh Lord, I will bring praise to YOU.  I will glorify YOU for YOU alone are Who I live for.  Regardless of my feelings and reasonings, YOU are the ultimate that must be glorified.  I just pray that You help me receive your grace to empower me to do what is best especially in the situations I am currently in.  You are to be glorified and I pray that with the responsibilities that You have given me, I pray that You will just guide me through this process.  I commit to You everything and may YOU BE PRAISED AND GLORIFIED IN ALL THINGS!  Thank You Jesus and I praise YOU!  I love You Lord and I will not allow the enemy to steal away the joy of pleasing You.  In Jesus’ name, amen.
