Supersede

Where are your forefathers now? And the prophets, do they live forever? But did not my words and my decrees, which I commanded my servants the prophets, overtake your forefathers?

“Then they repented and said, ‘The Lord Almighty has done to us what our ways and practices deserve, just as he determined to do.’ ” (Zechariah 1:5, 6 NIV84)

The Word of God supersedes all things, all of life, all that ceases. The Lord, when He says something, is true to His word. He will not violate anything and will be faithful to it. We can trust in His Word. We can believe and know that what He's revealed in His word is beyond earth. We must tremble and be "worthy" to have the word revealed and available to us. It supersedes all things and mankind.

What has the Lord already told me through His word? Have I believed that what He's said will occur in its own time? Have I realized that there will be consequences to the omitted mistakes I may have? I will trust again greatly in the Word. I do not need to worry or be troubled for God's word is true and reliable -- it supersedes all human kind and life itself. I will trust in His word.
