Confess and Forgive

Psalm 32:3-5
When I kept silent,
my bones wasted away
through my groaning all day long.
4 For day and night
your hand was heavy on me;
my strength was sapped
as in the heat of summer.[b]
5 Then I acknowledged my sin to you
and did not cover up my iniquity.
I said, “I will confess
my transgressions to the Lord.”
And you forgave
the guilt of my sin.


The power of confession and forgiveness is huge. Simply, when we have unforgiveness, whether between us and God or between us and our fellowmen, and not be willing to confess, then it eats our body away with so much guilt, shame, pain, condemnation, etc. We become very weak because of the unforgiveness we are hoarding thinking that we have everything under control when we know only God has it all under control. We need to be willing to let God do His job -- cleansing us and washing us from our iniquity. Don't let sin eat you away... Confess to the Lord and forgive.

// One indicator i am being eaten away is when there is sin hiding within me that i have not confessed to the Lord. Also tells me that I can detect that someone is unforgiving and or has hidden iniquity in them if their body is being eaten away... I must be remembering of this when it comes at my doorstep as well as knowing this truth so I can best minister to others that they may be free to do that Hid has called them to be.

Lord please help me to be very sensitive to Your presence in discerning this... That I may be an instrument of creating a "safe place" to those around me. I thank you for the forgiveness you have given me and I pray that You will help me make this a reality to others through me. Thank you for the freedom. I give everythingto you, in Jesus' name, amen.
